What's a good hat to wear in the sun?
When it comes to protecting yourself in the sun, any sun hat is much better than none (poarticularly when they offer UPF 50+ sun protection, like all of ours do!). Cap styles will provide less coverage, as they only shade the face. For maximum protection, go for a wide brimmed style, either with a stiff brim or a floppy style, like a bucket hat. For extra neck protection, go for a style with a neck flap.
What does a UPF 50+ sun rating mean?
A UPF 50+ sun rating is the highest sun protection rating available. When a material is rated UPF 50+, it means only 1/50th or less of the sun's UV rays are able to pass through. So you can diminish the sun, but not the fun!
